Odd SETI result... 1-minute WU...

I got this result and, while I like 1-minute results, it is a little disconcerting. Does this happen often?

There is the occasional WU that contains too much static and the client aborts the analysis. The result file is sent in and you get credit. :)

If you start getting one after another like that then you need to check your machine. Bad memory and/or OCing have been known to cause this condition. Letting a machine do WU after WU on a machine and turning in massive "fast WUs" like that is considered cheating. We had that condition on some our teammates' computers before but we have fixed the problem as soon as possible. Don't worry about the occasional fast one ... they help your average CPU. ;) :D

I see these pop up on queues every once in a while.


Pretty much what Smoke said :) or at least he is my source for knowledge on that subject.

I had a 6 sec and a 5 sec yesterday, but that was out of 69 wu. the rest were 10-12hrs :(

I had 3 of them the other day, all recorded on May 6th or 7th of this year. I happened to catch one while i was looking at SETI Spy. Kind cool to watch it rack up about 250 spikes in a couple of minutes.
