This is in a por/para worksheet, probably the third time we're doing it, in lots of detail, fifth year of spanish isn't the most fun thing ;)

Spanish: Néstor es muy listo para un chico de seis años.
English: Néstor is very ready for a boy of six years.

Is it just me or is that something a pedophile would say?

Well...the translation looks good to me. Though I'm not sure if there isn't some other less-known translation for listo. That phrase is probably not so literal in meaning to them.

Haha, now it all makes sense, I've hated this teacher for a long time but knew she couldn't be this bad ;)
