Odd quirk or I did I srew up?

I have just finished installing a second hrddrv in my 98se
machine...put it as slave to primary master...
had to move both optical drives to secondary ide...
Now, burner (master) shows in bios but
DvDrom (slave) does not...Yet both show in
device manager and both work fine..
ODD?

In the PnP/PCI section of the bios, try enabling the "update escd" section.
