Odd Problem

Hi, ive got this weird sort of problem on a freshly built system, now, for those who play online shooters you will understand this more easily, its like when the server is playing up and you teleport, eg, you walk around a corner and zap, your back where you started,
now this problem is happening wether im online or off,
ive swapped vid cards and it made no difference, from a radeon 8500 to a GF3.
ive done a full reinstall twice and changed a few things along the way, eg, i had SP3 and second install stayed with SP2 to see if thats the prob, i have all the latest driver/bios/ini's and have triple checked all bios settings(an understatment 🙂 )

Anyway im at the end of it, just about to throw it out the window

512mb PC1066 RDRAM(4x128's)
Gigabyte GA-8IHXP Mb
Radeon 8500 and tried a GF3
Enermax 431watt adjustable PSU
Creative SB Live
Western Digital 120Gb(8mb) HDD
Pioneer 16x Slot DVD-ROM
Asus 52x CD rom
Aopen HQ48-P4 Pro Case
Win2K SP2 & tried SP3

I dont know that much about this prob, but when you experience this exact problem online(no matter the machine) its a latency and packetloss issue, but ill repeat it doesnt matter wether im online or not, im just using this example to explain the symptom as its an extremely weird prob.

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

reinstall the game, it sounds like a software problem more then hardware

I would say its some kind of game glitch, not a hardware issue. What game?
