odd problem with ata66 on se6 under 98se

when i attempt to load the ata66 drivers off of the abit cd that came with my motherboard, it cancels out telling me that this driver is for intel chipsets only.

anyone experience this with their se-6?

dood its because i didnt install the inf files that are on the cd
to bring the chipset upto date

you are right, thanks.

i skipped directly to the ata66 driver without installing the intel .inf files.

the first time i loaded, it was with windows me, and it detected everything on the motherboard, so i didn't have to install anything.

and i have a bad habit of doing first, then reading the manual later.
