Odd problem stops ASUS PC Probe...

I can't run ASUS PC probe, and installing it doesn't install the needed DLL's to use it. There are apparently several missing, AsmiHwIo.dll is one of them. Since I'm using XP-64, anyone have any idea how to fix this? As I said, re-installation of probe doesn't help, and my disc version is most current.

Have you tried Asus PCProbeII? Works fine with my A8N-SLI and is for 32 and 64 bit...
Maybe you should give it a shot...don't know why Asus does not promote this tool...it's far better than the old Probe, hence the II ;)

Get it e.g. HERE

Wow Doc, that works after all. Now I can see the effect of my upgrades, between Cool'n'Quiet, replacing the old "new" 5,400 mobo HSF with the NB47 J, my idle temps went from 36/36 to 30/34 even though I've reduced the 7700 and intake fan speeds. This thing seems to agree with the old probe and the BIOS though, in that my system seems to be slightly undervolted.

Oh, and I can't stand Doctor Weir on Stargate Atlantis; she seems to be a totally useless character and has a much more passive personality than the actress who played Weir at the end of SG1 season 7. No offense.

EDIT:

Read about the rather revealing upgrade here:

EDIT, 2:

Forgot, thanks for the solution!

No worries, my nick was derived from Dr. Weir in Event Horizon ;) Have had it even before there was any Stargate Atlantis...
I think the name is quite popular with the filmmakers...also the doc in 6th day is called Dr. Weir...

Glad I could help...

Is this PC Probe II program something that is written and/or supported by ASUS or is it a third party program ?

Also, is it compatible/for use with ALL ASUS motherboards ?

Thanks.

It is officially Asus, but I never saw a compatibility / supported mobo list...at least this seems to work for all those poeople, where Asusprobe I quit service after a BIOS update or for no reason...

Sorry, one more question. Is there a download of the PC Probe II program directly from ASUS ?

I also, found it elsewhere and I just want to make sure I have the latest and greatest.

Thanks.

I'm using the probe II, and it really is ASUS despite the third-party wrapper. Actually, I'm suspecting that ASUS contracted out the development of Probe II and now they're ust sitting on it.
