Hi, I have an IOgear bluetooth dongle that I recently purchased. I've got it installed and running on my system in my sig. I noticed after plugging it in, that my CPU temperature went up 10-deg. C (I noticed it because I heard my CPU fan speed go up). So I look at Task Manager to see what task is running wild... Nothing. CPU utilization is the same with the dongle plugged in or not (i.e. 1% with my normal background and tray apps)... WTF?! How could a bluetooth dongle drive up my CPU temps without affecting anything else?
With Task Manager running - monitoring the processes tab - I unplug the dongle and immediately CPU temperature goes back to normal but not a single task changes in Task Manager... WTF? It certainly doesn't appear to be software related, but what on earth could by CPU be doing if its not running a process or some software?
What could possibly be going on here?
EDIT: I am not alone... http://www.theunwired.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1681
