Odd pricing haswell i3

Just browsing through the uk ebuyer site looking at cpu that I am not going to upgrade my G3258 too when I noticed something odd. The i3 with the higher clock speed were cheaper than the slower ones.

Putting the list from low to high showed clearly that the slower the clock speed, the more expensive.

Supply and demand I guess,intel suggests the same price for all of them.

Its not odd as such. All but the 4170 is replaced...by the 4170. Older SKUs can have been bought to different prices/currency exchange.

Why would anyone buy the slower cpu? Its stock that is going to sit there.
