I was playing a game this morning and had paused it. Came back, unpaused it, and couldn't move. I managed to get my computer restarted. I logged in. Started typing a post. The keyboard got slower and slower until I couldn't see any keypresses at all. Rebooted again. Fine for about 30 seconds, then nothing.
Simple keyboard failure? Nope.
I can use the keyboard to get into the BIOS, change settings, save, etc. No problems. I can hit F12 at boot and get a list of drives. I can even boot a Knoppix CD and have full use of the keyboard.
OS failure? Nope.
If I boot a Windows Vista or Windows 7 install DVD, the keyboard also doesn't work.
USB keyboard is fine. Remote Desktop is fine. It just that my laptop's internal keyboard has decided that it doesn't like Windows.
I'm stumped. Anyone see anything similar?
