Odd install problem in Win2kPro

I was installing a few programs, no biggie, things where going along nicely.

Then I installed PaintShop pro 7, it works, no problem.

And here is when the weirdness starts happening while trying to install ANY other program after that

In the middle of ANY new installed program, this box comes up and interups the install process--->

PAINTSHOP PRO 7

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again or enter an alternate to a folder containing the installation package PaintPro7.MSI in the box below

I have no clue where the *.msi file is on my system. Ive done a search and cant find it. Why does it ask for this file with any program that i try to install?

plz help! 🙂

Have you tried running PSP7 after the installation? Does it work?

The .msi file is normally under the root of the CD.

use the task manager and kill everything that shouldn't be running, esp if it is something from PSP7, then see if the install works. If it does, then edit the preferences in PSP7 and look for anything that runs in the background and configure those things not to run. hope this helps
