Odd Faxing Problem

The company I work for uses Net Satisfaxion to send and receive faxes. The people that work here have WinFAX on their computers and use that to connect to the Net Satisfaxtion server. Our actual fax modem is an external US Robotics fax modem.

We can currently send faxes to all but one of our customers. We can also receive faxes from anyone. But we have one customer to whom we can't send any faxes. Everytime we attempt to send them a fax the modems never get past handshaking (negotiating).

This would seem to indicate a compatibility issue between our modem and their fax machine. Here's the odd part though... they can send faxes to us just fine. Also, we used to be able to send them faxes until the 17th of this month. I asked them if they changed their fax hardware on or around that date and they said they had not changed anything (their fax machine is an HP OfficeJet 6110).

So what's could be the problem here? What could cause two fax modems to only be able to send faxes in one direction when both directions used to be able to work just fine?

1): Check to make sure your end is Dialing the Correct FAX Number for that customer
2): They would need to check the FAX Options on the HP 6110 ... it is likely someone
inadvertently messup a menu setting and either doesn't know they did it or won't admit it.
Mainly you need to check the Protocols for Number ot total bits, how many Stop & Start Bits,
Baud Rate .. etc

It may be nothing more than "Auto Answer" is Disabled when it should be Enabled to Receive FAX's

It's the right number. I even called it with a normal phone just to check and their fax machine answered the call.
