Odd DVI video connector...

Hello. I was going to fix my friends computer - she owns a dell precision 360, with what looks to be a geforce mx vid card, but with an odd DVI connection, here is what it looks like. i have never seen this before and i cant seem to find a converter for dvi-vga that will fit this!:

here is the link to teh pico:

well, its a workstation. It looks almost like one of the older DVIs. Mebbe you should contact dell for a DVI-VGA converter, or the card maker?

Definitely looks like an older DVI cable. You could probably get digital working on it no problem (by breaking off the small analog connector on the left of the DVI cable), but finding a DVI-VGA adaptor for that might be tough.

My initial reaction was the same as yours though: "What is this!?" 😉

It is DMS59, it has two dvi connections in one plug. Used in high-end workstation cards for multi-monitor support and also for ATI Crossfire.

klah or anyone else, you think jiffylube's idea about breaking off the larger pin on the converter i have now will work?

That is correct. It's like the precursor to Dual-DVI

allright well breaking off the large pin will NOT work, because on a dvi-vga converter, there are three rows of pins, not 4 like this werid dvi connection has. anyone know where i can grab a converter, or a monitor to support this fubar connection?
