Odd dual channel DDR3 Ram configuration

Right now I have this DDR3 kit. I am wondering if I can buy a kit such as this and put the new kit side by side with the kit I have now.

I know the corsair kit has looser timings, but they are the same speed and voltage so I should be able to just loosen up the timings on my memory and put the corsair kit in.

I know I could buy the same kit that I have now and run 8GB of memory, but with memory prices so cheap I might as well get extra.

Will this configuration cause any problems with overclocking my X4 955?

Will the memory transfer speeds be slower due to the different capacity chips?

Any other thoughts?
