Odd dithering effect with my 193P

I installed my video card a few days ago and plugged in the DVI cable and the first thing I noticed when I booted up my comp was that the background color (I'm using solid color/windows xp default theme with no picture)I had been using for my desktop seemed a bit pixeled. Now I know all about pixel pitch and I'm using an LCD (193P) but this isn't pixel pitch. I had used this with my onboard graphics (analog) and the colors seemed fine... but after observing closely they looked a bit dithered too, but it was hardly noticeable this time. I tested the Analog connection on different computers and the solid colors (usually blues/ dark grays) look a little bit dithered also again not as bad as on the DVI. I have no other DVI connections to test on. Also during the half-life 2 load screen the monitors picture began to wiggle and shake like it was under water. I immeadiatly turned off the monitor and then turned it back on and everything seemed to be back to normal.

I have posted some examples of the dithering I have taken with my digital camera:

also, yes, I'm using 32bit color, the native resolution and the correct refresh rate (60 hertz) / I have tried updating graphics, chipset and monitor drivers

Did I get a bad card?
bad Monitor?
any tips?
anyways so far I've e-mailed Samsung and they have yet to reply

Sorry about the long post,

Thanks,
Matt

Technically you should run at 60hz, but I would try 70, 72, 75 if possible just to test. I've seen it work on some monitors.

Oh yes you are the victim of Samsung's poor digital chroma dynamic range. It's really noticeable on the 243T. Totally unacceptable. There is not a damn thing you can do about it besides change monitors. The video card is *NOT* at fault here.

Cheers!

damn, are there any websites about this? I'm going to complain to Samsung. Again. Now when you mean change monitors do you mean, get a replacement or get a different model/brand?

have there been any other posts/complaints about this you can link me to, I can't find anything about it
