Odd calls on my cell phone

About once or twice a day I get a call that shows up on my caller ID as 212
This started about a week ago and I have no idea WTF is going on. When the call comes in and I answer there is nothing there. It does not disconnect until I hang up, but it is dead on the other end.

My service is through Verizon.

Any idea's?

There's been a few threads here about people getting calls & nothing on the other end. Different phone numbers show up in Caller ID.
I here about it more from people i know too. Get a call, then just dead air, no solicitation

once i got 2 voicemails

the 1st was some girls singing what sounded like some rap song. it was hard to understand them. the 2nd time was from the same number as above but it sounded like ocean waves...
