oDd behavior with wireless PCI card

hey, i have a Dlink G510 wireless pci card in my pc. and every 5min i loose connection, then connect really fast like 2sec after that. is there anyway i can fix this? get quite annoying.

How far apart is the PC and ROuter? Could be some interference. If they are far apart, try moving them closer as a test. If that makes the connection work fine, then it's probably an interference issue.

If they are already close, then it sounds like some sort of setting between the two. Do you lose connectivity from the PC to the router or from the Router to the Internet?

i lose connectivity from the pc to the router, and its bout 25 feet away (the router)

Does it say the connection dropped, or do you just lose throughput for a couple of seconds?
Make sure the "Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication" box is NOT checked.

im having the same problem with my netgear router and pci card that are ~15 feet apart, im trying to find a soloution, but nothing so far.
