Odd (bad) router (DNS lookup failed half the time)

I don't quite understand what is wrong with this router. I have a Trendnet TEW-633 GR which is connected to the network here. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

The problem is twofold:

1) The wired part of it never works, I've tried connecting to all the LAN ports on it and I get a orange light on each, and when I try to open a webpage I then get DNS lookup failed.
2) The wireless only seems to work half the time if that, then I need to unplug it and plug it back in, and then it works again.

One interesting thing I just noticed about it is that now (it's working at the moment), the router/AP is using Channel 3, but the last time it was on it used Channel 6. I've changed nothing myself, it's just been disconnected for a few days. I also get DNS lookup failed when the wireless stops working, so maybe that's the same issue as with the wired connections.

Can anyone tell me what could potentially be wrong?

Edit: Forgot to include this: The internet (e) light is green, while the WiFi light is constantly orange.

The wireless slowdown may be due to the channel. It seems that auto channel scan is enabled, and I am now on channel 12, whereas there's a router on channel 10 nearby with a signal strength of 50%+.

Edit: There's also another one on 10 and one on 11 at similar strength, then there's one at 6 at around 30%, so I'm putting this one one Channel six to see what happens.

Apparently what I perceived to be orange, turned out to be amber, and this seems to be what the amber light means:

"Solid Amber – Successful powerline link (Connection quality: Better)
Blinking Amber – Activity"

They rank their connection quality like this: http://www.trendnet.com/kb/kbp_viewquestion.asp?ToDo=view&questId=2233&catId=602

Interesting, anyway it's the day after and the router is still running and seems to be functional, I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
