Finally bought a retail copy of Arkham City the other day. Got it home, popped the 1st DVD in my DVD drive, and get ready to install. Next thing I know, the DVD drive is making odd noises, and can't spin up the disc! So I pop out disc 1, insert disc 2 - same thing! Thinking my DVD drive has failed, I pop out disc 2, and pop in various other game/audio discs, all of which spin up with no problem.
Upon inspection, it appears that the Arkham City DVD's in my retail copy are somewhat thinner and lighter than the other CDs/DVD in my collection. This thickness/weight difference is apparently borking my DVD drive, making the game uninstallable from the disks.
Anyone else have this issue? If so, did you manage to fix it? I'm a little peeved because the retailer will not allow me to return or exchange my copy for another.
