First Post.

Office Depot NYC B&M IPAQ 3765 $299.99 clearance. Use $20 off $50 coupon. Get Back to School IPAQ $50 MIR at register.

I got display model so manager took off %15 cuz stylus missing. Got home and found stylus deep in box!
$255 before $50 mir!

Also bought CF expansion pack $23.99 clearance. Bought with MS Combat Flight Sim 2.0 $29.99 W/$20 MIR. Applied $20 off $50. $36.78 before $20 MIR.

Remember I paid NYC tax 8.25%. Good Luck!

Uh? That $50 rebate has long been expired. You must be thinking about the $50 rebate for the ipaq 3835

Even without rebate it's still a decent deal

It's still a good price even though the rebate is only good for purchases purchased by July 29.

The rebate is the Back to School IPAQ PPC Rebate. Good on models 3765, 3835, 3875, 3955 and 3975 if purchased between 8/25/02 and 10/05/02.

I still have thirteen days to return for full refund but so far so good.

I actually found another one in NYC for $275 before coupon and rebate but it had a ding on LCD. So I passed.

Yep, I got in on this. B
ought the Demo at $229 before $20 off $50.
I got the $50 back to school rebate, it printed at the register. No manual or software but they gave me a set from the 3800 series demo.

FYI anyone out there with an IPAQ I found the Compact flash adapter for $23 in the clearance bin, along with the PC card adapter for $89 ( I snagged the last one) and USB sync cables for $17.99. The Sales rep told me at times when the bin gets full the stroe mgr will typically reduce everything another 50%.

All of these IPAQ reductions, I would imagine, are YMMV, I probably wont need the CF adapter, PM me if interested.

Hands down the e310. Ipaq has no expansion slot ( it has a CF jacket but it makes the ipaq even biigger). dust problems in the screen, bigger, heavier than toshiba. Worse battery life, worse screen resolution. The only thing better in the Ipaq is that it has more memory, and I think it has more expansion capabilities.

Don't forget aplethora of third party add-ons. Personally I own @migo PDA and love it, but I can't help but envy Ipaq owners because they can get every imaginable gizmo ever made for PDA readily available.

I've had 2 of the ipaq 3765s--neither one would hold a charge. I finally got fed up and exchanged the last one for the Toshiba e310. Best decision I've made lately. There's a lot of deals on the Toshiba now--read this forum and chubby wallet.

I bought the e310 three weeks ago (amazon deal) cause I liked it's small size, but I don't like Pocket PC. I guess I am going to buy the ipaq 3835 from OfficeDpot ($350 AR & PM) and install Linux on it from handhelds.org.

I agree...I used to have an Ipaq and now a Palm and I can say that Palm is a much better OS PDA. Palm 4.1 is only missing multimedia features, which will be included in Palm OS 5. I think for the avg user Palm is a better option. If you need stuff like terminal services then PPC2K might be for you.
