I was just reviewing an OD ad here in FL for the week of 8/24 and they had PNY 256mg ram(PC100/133/DDR) for $59.99-$5IR-$25MIR=$29.99...

the ad was tough one to notice because they listed the ram ... (PC100/133/DDR)

now if you can find a $10 off $50 coupon this would be $19.99...it is PNY ram and I am not sure where the rebate goes....

PS I have not gone to my OD to check this out but may later today

I have been informed by several members that their OD is unclear on the rebates and they are not on the website..this maybe a error in the ad...however if so I would try in store with the ad in hand and try to get rung up at $29.99 and save the hassle of rebates..although the coupons would not work

I'm curious as to why you're posting a deal that ended yesterday? Did they advertise it again this week?

Looks like a new deal.
Last week's was $70 with a $20 and $15 mail in rebate = $35.
I used a $10 instore coupon and picked up one.
This deal is a much hotter with less tax(on $55 instead of $70), and 1 less mail in rebate.

EDIT : Looks like its only the southeast region only, I tried a zip code in florida(32818) and got a different in-store flyer than TX and NJ.

What is the sku# for the PNY 2100 memory?

Might be a regional thing only.

In central Calif here, I looked twice, in the paper ad, and online,

No memory in the entire thing. Just a ton of printers on sale, backpacks, and a few digi cams.

there is no sku listed in the ad...note this ad was /is deceiving

It list PNY ram....says 256mg ram(pc100/133/DDR) for $59.99-$5IR-$25MIR=$29.99.....that is the way it reads...so it is easy to overlook the DDR ....and there is no more detail in my add sorry

Guys I just got this. The rebate form does not list the sku for DDR or have DDR models listed on it.
My chip was either samsung or elixir...
no brainer there.
Just hope I can find a correct rebate form.

I bought a PNY 256MB-133 about a month ago from OD and sent in the register print-out rebate. But, last week, I got a postcard from rebateshhq.com/Coppell, TX, denied my rebate. The reason was "The product was not prochased within the required dates for this rebate." Am I the only un-lucky one?

This deal just got warmer. I picked up one at my nearest OD and, to my surprise, they rang it up at $29.99 (adjusted from $99.99) . They said there was no rebate. Apparently somebody made a mistake somewhere. This 256MB DDR is not on the rebate form so they adjusted the price to the after the rebate sale price. I get the impression that the DDR was not supposed to be in the ad. Since I picked up the last one at the nearest OD I stopped by another one. I picked up one there but they were pretty confused. I had to keep requesting the sale price and the assistant manager finally gave it to me. Both of mine are Samsung.

Don't know how long this will last and YMMV. They will probably correct this tommorrow. You may have to be firm about getting the sale price of $29.99. If you already bought it and are looking for the rebate you will not find one. Go back to the store and have them give you an adjustment.

The chips have "Elixir" or "Samsung" printed on them. You should be able to see the chips through the packaging.

Great deal, Lanyap.

I presume you went in and looked for the DDR, couldn't find it, and asked someone where it was until they gave it to you. Did it actually ring at $29.99, or did the manager / cashier override it to $29.99? Reason I ask is that my local ODs can get quite confused, and this might mean the difference between going at my lunch break, or after work (more time after work). I suppose if they sold it to me at the regular price, I could plan to go in a couple days from now and have them go on a wild goose chase looking for the rebate which doesn't exist. That's always a lot of fun, and good practice on playing dumb and passive aggressively disinterested.

Also, what's the UPC code? Should be on your sales slip, or on the packaging.

Thanks again,

Cran

I found the RAM, it was in a locked show case. I had to get someone to unlock it and give it to me so I could check out. It rang up at the regular price of $99.99. The manager had to get the cashier to override it to $29.99. The UPC is 7-51492-21090-2 and the SKU is 442827.

I have a $10 off $50 coupon that I got through snail mail and was going to use it until they overrode the price down to $29.99.

Well guys, I just got this to work. I callled the 1-800 office depot number last night and there definitely is no rebate for this item. They told me that if I went instore with the ad they would have to honor it. I had to be firm, but I just got two sticks of ram for $29.99 each and I used the new $20 off $50 coupon. Being firm worked in my favor tonight....;) by the way, one stick is infineon and one is samsung....:)
