Did a quick search on the board and didn't see this, so here goes...

If you live near a Fry's electronics, they have the MS intellimouse optical explorer for $49. check 2nd page at frysad
Pricematch your local Office Depot and grab something that's $1 or more, slap on a $15off50 coupon you can get on dealspree and final price for the mouse before tax is $34.

I just called my local OD and they're holding one for me. Gonna pick it up during lunch break. ^_^

may or may not be a hot deal...

i think you could have gotten it cheaper at staples.com with pm and coupon since they dont charge tax (i think...). anyways, the staples coupon is 30/100 which is equivalent to 15/50 at od. but staples would have delivered it to you, without tax (i think...), and you could have gotten a few extra accesseries that you've been wanting to get...such as a usb hub - boy, i really need one of those 8(.

then again, i dont really know what i'm talking about since your pming local stores. it prolly doesnt work the same with staples.com and staples bm. any input fellas?

Staples.com does charge tax. I live in a state (LA) without any Staples stores and I still have to pay tax on internet orders. I wonder who ends up with that money.

I ordered an iomega 12x4x32 from Staples.com back in nov, and they did charge me tax. I guess it cause they have 4 Staples within a 10 mile radius from my home/work/school. I do think the Staples.com is ideal for most, since Fry's is only in western states and Texas.

I guess I'm lucky, since there are 7 Office Depots, 6 Office Max, 3 Fry's Electronics, 2 Compusa also within a 10 mile radius from my home/work/school. Took a 5 minute drive before school to a nearby Office Depot and snagged myself one. Snagged myself another one that afternoon on my way home, so I think there are plenty left at in the cal bay area. Looks like some of the great deals posted about Office Depot markdowns are kinda rare, probably because all the Bay Area anandtechers have already scoured these stores.

$49.00(pricematch fry's) + $1.19 sharpie markers = $51.19 - $15(15off50 printable coupon at dealspree) = $35.19 + $2.82(8% tax) = $38.01 out the door. ^_^ Great way to spend your chinese new year money(where culturally applicable, of course =Þ)
