btw, here is Belgium.

edit: in reply to Northwings:
I'd have to import that, and since PSU's are quite heavy the cost of shipping would be huge.
And I really dont care how the internals of my PC look like as long as it functions and doesnt hinder airflow (aka, lots of zipties)

In that case I would go with the Aopen, they are built by Forton-Source.

OCZ is good, even better than Antec in terms of reliability. i would buy them if i didn't have more choices. also, that 520W powerstream is pretty expensive.

i can buy a better power supply with more power for much less.

my friend has a computer with a Aopen power supply. it has lasted him a long time

my opinion of Fortron-Sparkle keeps going up and up

OZC is #1 in my book.

The rails are solid as they can be.

Expensive?

The 520W model is around $110-130.

I got a 520w Powerstream too. I was choosing between the Powerstream and Seasonic. Ended up getting the Powerstream. I've been very satisfied. Everything seems pretty stable. The only flucuations occur on the 5v rail by like .02 according to mbm. Although I do need to get around to tweaking the rails just a bit. As they are all a little bit over/below what they are suppose to (I gues? dunno everything runs fine), like the 3.3 rail is at 3.26 12 at 12.21. So I'll probably just go and adjust it manually to get to 3.3 and 12 and stuff.

OCZ makes great power supplies. Initial quality, reliability, voltage stability, warranty and support are stellar. They're a bit pricey, but they're worth it.

IMO, PCP&C > Seasonic > OCZ > Fortron, with Seasonic and Fortron providing the best bang for buck. Enermax makes some nice PSU's that I like to use in servers. Haven't trusted Antec in a while, but I'll admit the TruePower 550W in my main rig has been stellar for the last three years.

PCP&C > Zappy/Emac > Seasonic > Fortron > Cooler Master > Enermax > OCZ

ocz is overpriced and over hyped.

PC&P>Fortron-Sparkle and Seasonic, both are of the same high quality. I have found Fortrons and Sparkles to be very reliable.

OCZ>Antec>Enermax

the bottom three are all good companies and make decent power supplies. Enermax has had some reliability issues however.

I'm not going to take a SLI motherboard because imho SLI is not worth it, so dont take possible SLI expension into account.

And I will probably get an
Enermax EG495AX-VE-W-SFMA Power Supply (485W)

which is I think enough to handle this rig.

I have that power supply and I'm definately happy with it.
Also, it's super quiet if that's a concern for you.

Proof of these issues?

I have used Raidmax, Enermax, ThermalTake, Antec, and OCZ Power Supplies in previous builds and the OCZ was by far the highest quality.

Of the PS I have used, I would rate them OCZ > Antec > Enermax > TT > Raidmax > generic.

There is an old adage, "you get what you pay for". OCZ has quality products with an outstanding warranty. You are either willing to pay more for higher quality components or you are not. Good luck with your build.

I was recently in the market for an OCZ 600W model, but noticed Tom's Hardware had two samples fail its stress test. Then, the vendor I was going to buy through, Tank Guys, told me OCZ has discontinued this model and has no stock left at its factory. The new model will have two PCIe connectors. OCZ claimed Tom overloaded one of the 12v rails in their tests. Tom's Hardware stands by its results! The only currently advertized OCZ web site models available are at various vendors around the world. You will not see the new models until inventory of the old models are just about sold out. Instead, I went with a Seasonic S12-600. It is very quiet with the 120mm fan. It has two PCIe connectors and passed the stess test at Tom's. Price was $138 at Iguana Micro. I am very happy with the purchase decision. Sorry to hear you do not have this option in Belgium. Good Luck.
