OCZ's new interface for SSD's 'HSDL'

umm isnt SATA 3 like over 2 times faster than that, 6GB/s. Whats the point of this, if you run out of SATA ports?

Edit: nm, sata is Gb while this new format is GB.

I like the idea (been saying this is needed all along) but don't like a fudge-up company such as OCZ trying to "take off" with it. 🙄

Wholely agree. OCZ, though they've been good with promoting overclocker's RAM and have provided great value RAM, they in the business end just hasn't grown up the way Kingston has. I wish smaller companies like OCZ the very best especially since they've been very good with communicating with enthusiasts, but they really need to triple check their latest and greatest SSDs themeselves instead of using Anand as a beta tester... because Anand will expose your product if its good and will equally expose your product if it's bad.

And when it comes to products that you use to store your data, you truely need to make sure your stuff is solid.

Special HSDL drives are required, so this is not something that you would plug into a off the shelf SSD for example,” explained the executive at OCZ.

I was ready to sign up 'till I read that.
