OCZ vs. Corsair XMS - which should I nab for the 2GB kits, and why?

Or, if I'm being stupid and there is a better alternative in the $200-250 range, please enlighten me.

Waffles, you honestly scare me sometimes. But I had heard of the numerous issues with the DFI NF4 Ultra and Corsair, so I'll take your advice.

Not to mention it saves me $35.

Now sell me a 4000+ San Diego. =(

Whichever one you like the most. I'm a big fan of Corsair, but the OCZ ram looks sweet.

the dfi will eat the corsair ram alive. ocz runs on higher voltages, which is why DFI HEARTS OCZ.

4x512mb of OCZ Gold VX? 2T really doesn't bring much preformance hit, and your overclocking results will most likely be way better.

Agreed. 3% at the most performace hit when going from 1T-2T will be completely overshadowed by the OC ability of the VX. I ahve yet to see a 2x1GB kit that will OC anywhere near what 512 sticks will do.

That is of course unless you wanna spend BIG BIG $$$

Neither...
Buy a couple 1GB PNY Optima modules
Reasons...
CAS 2.5 and $179.56 shipped.

Your AMD CPU won't appreciate memory lower than 2.5 anyway.
