Hello,

I have an OCZ Vertex 60GB (indilinx) drive and tried to update it's firmware. I queried OCZ support for the update procedure and they sent it back to me, so I followed it to the letter and now the drive is not recognized by the BIOS.

I contacted OCZ again but there is no answer.

Can you guys recommend somebody who can fix the drive if possible. I'm in Bulgaria, so it'll be best if can be repaired in Europe.

TIA!

AFAIK, only OCZ will/can repair the drive.

I've never heard of a 3rd party that will fix SSDs.

Sorry, maybe someone else can think of an alternative.

That's a rough one, poor guy did a firmware upgrade that messed things up. Hopefully you can return or exchange it cuz if the BIOS isn't see it and you tried different ports as well, then its a no go,, kiss it goodbye and give it proper burial. Move on get a replacement and your good to go, this time dont run any firmware upgrade etc. Also is your mobo flashed to latest BIOS version ? .. let us know, gl,

OCZ is very good about supporting these drives. If it dies during a firmware flash, they will get you a new drive.
