Greetings all.

Basically first SSD debating between two of them at these pricepoints.

50$ for a 60gb Vertex 3.

80$ for a 100gb OCZ Ibis

Ideally Windows 7+ SWTOR on it.

I wouldn't advise a 60gb drive for windows and SWTOR. My wow folder started getting huge after a few updates/patches. 100gb is going to leave you with a lot more breathing room

that is a sick price for a 100GB SSD . Its SATA 3 right ? I can still use it right ?

I want a SSD for my DAW content.. instead of going to drive d which isnt to shabby F4 155mbps drive e is for big downloads and backup ...

Where you getting these prices from my friend ? Care to share the link to OCZ IBIS 100GB SSD.. thanks and ya go with that , its sata 3 right ? anyhow if you put your OS on it, things will load up instantly,, like things like going to services or navigating around, opening programs and files,, it will blow you away,, there will be no bottleneck,,, gl

Also guys make sure if this OCZ Ibis has a firmware upgrade ?

I'd advise against using older gen Sandforce controllers on that IBIS compared to the more advanced 2281 sata3 controller on the V3. SF-2281 controllers now have much less throttling and noticably improved recovery speed with a larger recycling engine.

Two of those V3's in R0 on that mobo in your specs will beat that IBIS quite easily and give you more flexibility in the end. Well worth the extra 20 bucks, IMO.
