Hey all, just installed a Vertex 3 MAX IOPS edition (latest firmware), and it runs incredible. however, when i run Speedfun it shows the sensor as a scorching 128!!! When i touch it its cool to the touch, is that just an error in Speedfan, or can the internals possibly be running like that?

My 2TB western digital Caviar Black is only 40c.

There are no temp sensors on SSDs. Monitoring software should not be reporting any temps.

That is a speedfan quirk. Dont worry the temp on your SSD, its probably 70F avg.

As I know it, Speedfan does not show the geforce fan but it gets the GPU temp.

There is no way to know a SSD temp cuz its not a hard disk HDD.

128c is bogus reading. You cant check your SSD temp, no way ! Unless Im wrong and there is a way.

If you wanna guess, touch your SSD and youll see how cool its running.
