Can anyone explain why the 50GB OCZ Vertex 2 is more expensive than the 60GB version? Same with the 100GB and 120GB.

I believe OCZ is no longer selling drives with the higher over-provision amount anymore. So the 50GB/100GB etc. drives are essentially "discontinued" and prices always rise on an item as the supply peters out.
No, it's just deduction based on the fact that all their first drives had the higher over-provisioning. Based on testing such as Anand's in his articles, it was shown that they could lower that amount with no effect on performance. The "E" drives then began selling. Why would they continue to sell smaller drives when the bigger ones have the same performance?Got a link?
That's why I bought 'um but I see no indication that they're being discontinued.it's just their firmware that's determining the over-provisioning amount
