OCZ Vector SSD dead?

So, I had my OCZ 128 GB SSD hooked as a dual hard drive to my 2011 imac with a 3 TB hard drive, and suddenly the disk just dissapears, after messages saying I couldn't write to it, it was corrupted and could not be repaired by disk utility. Now it won't even show up. Removed it from the imac and tested it on a PC and an old 2005 imac - none of which recognize it.

Is there any tools I can use to revive this drive I purchased earlier this year? Bought it off ebay, so I am not sure whether it is under any kind of warranty, and from a look at OCZ's website they don't seem to honor warranties from people who do not buy from them directly. The serial number on the back of the drive is illegible.

Any help is appreciated!
 
no, ocz is known for ssd gone bad like that. No one ever covers data recovery. on top of that ocz being bought out by Toshiba, all warranty are up in the air right now
 
It isn't just ocz.
I have had a sammy 830 do that as well.

In any case, if OP didn't have a backup, then, they are SOL, and since the flea-bay seller wasn't a authorized dealer, there usually is no warranty at all with that.

Oh, and if the serial numer is illegible, that is a HUGE red flag.
That is another reason why nobody should buy stuff on fleabay, except from trusted sellers that are authorized to sell things.
