OCZ Silencer 750W Quad = PCP&C Silencer 750W Quad, right?

Who would've known? Buy.com has the best deal around for the Silencer 750W Quad. OCZ owns PC Power & Cooling, right? These are the same power supplies, right? I think I'll bite if that is the case.

No you are wrong!
PC Power & Cooling is not OCZ!!!

It is sort of like this you have McDonald`s and say Mc Donald`s buy one of Bobby Flay`s restaurants. Keeps the same chef`s and the same owner the same menu. Does that mean that Bobby Flay`s restaurant is a McDonalds restaurant--- NO!!!

Even though PC Power & Cooling are now under the OCZ unbrella does not mean that there products are the same!!
Nothing has changed product wise!!

PC Power & Cooling has there own seperate line of PSU`s and PC Power & Cooling supplies technical support to OCZ as far as PSU`s are concerned!!

OCZ has there own seperate line of PSU`s!!!

OCZ does NOT have a silencer line of PSU`s -- PC Power & Cooling does!!!

Your assumption and because OCZ owns PC Power & Cooling that there PSU`s are now all the exact same PSU`s is wrong totally!!

No offense, JEDIYoda, but I would appreciate it if you actually looked at the link I posted and thought about it for a second before posting a bunch of crap. My question was whether or not the PSU advertised in that link was the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W Quad. It was. The model number is "S75QB" and the picture matches that of the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W Quad in reviews, etc. It was obviously mislabeled as a product from its parent company.

http://www.pcpower.com/product...product.php?show=S75QB

This place seems to have it cheapest:

http://www.sureneeds.com/oczs75qb.html

$137 + $12 shipping = $149 shipped. They also have the Silencer 610W (S61EPS) for $109, but it seems to be out of stock or at least unbuyable at the moment and the price difference is so small that the Quad is a better buy.

Okay som whats the issue if as you say it was obviously mislabeled???
No the PSU was NOt mislabeled.
buy.com on ther site mistakenly labeled ther site--OCZ Silencer 750W Quad SLI Ready Power Supply - Black - S75QB.....

Then they linked to OCZ wgich in and of itself is not the link to PC Power & Cooling.

So let me get this correct -- you knew the answer to what you were asking before you asked it??

I ws proper in assuming that you didn`t understand how the relationship between OCZ and PC Power & Cooling worked!

So once again whats the issue??

I think the posts speak for themselves. It's useless to keep arguing over this so let's stop right here.

I just purchased a Silencer 750W Quad for $150 shipped from SureNeeds and I think it's a good deal for all of those who are looking to buy this PSU.

In conclusion if you were to hgo to PC Power & Cooling`s main site and take a look at the silencer you would have seen just the sulencer name on the label/decal.....
YES -- Buy.com screwed it up!!

Peace!1
