I made an attempt to google this as well as searching around on here and there was no real conclusion for me. I just built my new rig:

Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3
Athlon 64 X2 2.7 Kuma
2x2GB DD2-1066
etc... etc...

After researching that I can't fully utilize all of this RAM in XP (32-bit), I decided to go with this setup anyways. As the minor amount of memory won't be too much to sacrifice for a more stable platform (for the time being). I then came to find out that with Gigabyte's EasyTune6 app, my modules are "Unbuffered" as well as "Unregistered."

Who might be able to lend me a hand with this? Thanks.

Read your manual and see what type of memory you need.....

Error Correcting
"Unbuffered"
"Unregistered"

I did quite a bit of research on this setup. Everything was well-matched. I was however a bit of a skeptic with this RAM choice. I'm been a loyal Corsair fan for many years but this time around OCZ caught my eye-- with great reviews and high volume sales. The Heat-pipe design is more than just cosmetic as well.

The mobo manual, from Gigabyte, is a little light on details. As with the majority of reference manuals for the home-builder. However, the RAM choice 'should' be an ideal one.

Any other help will me greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

What exactly is your question? Unless you bought a server or workstation MOBO or server memory, you should be good to go assuming general compatibility. About the only to consider after unbuffered DDR2 is if your MOBO can supply the needed memory voltage.

1. Your "quite a bit of research" should have at least taken you to the Gigabyte site for your MB.
2. The Gigabyte site for your MB supplies you with all the information you're looking for.
3. Your CPU/Gigabyte chipset supports unbuffered memory (MB supports ECC also, but your CPU doesn't).
You should stick with 1.8-1.9v DIMMs... Corsair, G.Skill or Mushkin.
