OCZ Ram won't run at specified speed?

Yes I had the ram set to 1600MHz/8-8-8-24 timings/1.654 voltage. The exact specified settings. Right now the ram is running stable at 1440MHz/7-7-7-18/1.654v. If I RMA it, I'll be without a computer for who knows how long. It seems to be running fine, and with my 5870/i7 3.6GHz, it's pretty fast. Would it be worth it to RMA?

Hmmm, that's certainly quite a dilemma. It's probably not worth the trouble in that case. I don't think the impact of running the ram at a slightly slower speed should hurt performance too much.

Most of the time, I actually have my E6320 at 1333MHz fsb rather than 1600MHz+ fsb. I dont notice the ram at 667MHz holding my comp back versus ram at 800MHz+.

I am having the same problem also. I cant get it to run at 1600, only at 1333. I have the EVGA x58 E758 mb. What else can I do?
