Fry's current has the 1GB dual channel kit OCZ premier for $160 AR. Would this RAM be ok for overclocking? I'm getting a 2600+ mobile with NF7-S mobo. The timings on this ram are 2.5-3-3-7 I believe. I'm not looking to push my CPU to its limits since this is my first overclock. I'd be pretty satisfied with 2.4-2.5Ghz on air cooling. I also do not care about having the best possible memory bandwidth =P I guess another question I have is whether the 1GB is necessary or if I could just dual channel with 2 sticks of 256MB? Thanks for the help!

Opps!!
there

considering that it is 40 bucks cheaper than anything i see on newegg with even cl3 (not even counting shipping) I would say go for it

but do this not expecting 230+ overclocks because it either has older samsung or the ch-x winbond stuff if i had to guess (which still isn't too bad for this price)

looks pretty cool and if it has timings of 2-3-3-7 or better by default spd thats a plus

I got this stuff today. It works fine with my 2400+ mobile and NF7-S, I'm running it at 210FSB right now, at 2.5-3-3-7, 2.6V. Later I might try for higher. It comes with copper heatspreaders. Considering the price, I'd go for it and get the gig.
