OCZ powerstream or modstream?

Heyas.. I'm about to build a new system and I was gonna get a OCZ modstream 520w with the blue led.. but someone suggested I get the powerstream 520w with green led instead.

I know the powerstream is more expensive but besides that.. why else is it better?

I'm gonna be installing it in a CM Stacker case and I plan to overclock a bit but not much. You can see my thread in 'general hardware' to see the full list of parts I'm getting.

Thanks I'd love to know the difference and know if it's worth spending an extra 30 bucks and forfeitting the blue led which was my color of choice

powerstream is a more powerful psu, modstream as some nice features like a 120 fan instead of 80, modular
(removable) cables to reduce clutter, and sleeved cables. so it depends on what you want if you want pure power and performence, go powerstream, if you want something more attractive and case friendly with sacrificing power go mod stream

dont get me wrong both are all around good PSUs and you wont be disappointed with either but its jsut where your preferences are

I heard the modstream 120w does not fit in the top PSU-reserved slot of the CM stacker. Can anyone confirm this?

I don't have that case, but I can tell you that the cables on the Modstream are on the short side. The SATA power will not reach the bottom slot for my hard drives in a Antec SLK3000...I would call that short.

I had the same problem I wanted the Powerstream with a blue led

I have the ModSteam 450 and I have been very pleased with it. It is true that the cables are a little on the short side. The main ATX and CPU cables to the specific. The other cables arn't TOO short, I didn't have any problem with my MGE Quantum. And it is a descent sized Mid Tower.
