I think the refurb OCZ PSU's are a pretty good deal at $30 for a 600W, $40 for a 700, and $50 for an 850W. They also have new modular OCZ PSU's, $40 for the 600W and $65 for the 780W.

I personally picked up a refurb 600W for a friend and a 780W modular for myself, shipping it about $10 when I put in a New York zip code and $7 for a California zip code.

good deal, but please put "recertified" in title.

Edit: Well, I did it. I went and ordered something from SVC.com, even after they screwed me last year by not shipping me all of my merchandise, and then claiming that they did by the weight calculation.

In for two of the 850W, and one of the 600W, and a few of those 36" IDE rounded cables.

Very good deal IMO. Even if they're recertified, you seldom see those types of prices on quality PSUs of that wattage. Thinking about buying one to have as a backup, even though I just bought a new corsair 400w for $50 (30 after MIR). 🙁

The corsair is probably better than all these powersupplies. THe corsair has a single rail that can handle 30A at 12v. None of these OCZ's can handle more than 20A or so on any single rail. Also, i have yet to see a sterling review of an ocz power supply. They are decent but I wouldn't call them quality.

That JG review was done a long time ago... in this technology age anyway. PSUs have come a long way since then.

Gamexstreme series PSUs are made from FSP Group. This series has a well known reputation for having ripple exceeding ATX spec at <50% rated load. I personally wouldn't use them for anything other than an older or lower powered system. They certainly aren't the lowest tier PSU, so you can't go wrong for $30-$50 recerts.
