Ocz Platinum ddr2 800 Rev 2.0 or G. Skill ddr2 800 ??

im using the ocz one, and it oc's pretty well for me at least
not to scare you away from the product, but the first pair of sticks were bad and returned them, and they are perfect now, no more bsod's and stuff

I just ordered the Gskill lastnight. From what I read most are hitting 850-900 4-4-4-12 at 2.1-2.3v.

honestly though if they are the same price just go with whichever looks the best to you because both brands are good. I'd say they o/c about the same.

You 100% sure you don't mean G.Skill HZ series? just wondering

overclock away, but stay away from Ds3 with D9 memory...it doesn't play well. Get Asus P5B or a 975x based board. Or get a 680i
That was only true with the DS3's, and earlier BIOS's. The S3 never had that problem, and the DS3's don't, with later BIOS revisions.

Naw I'm taking bout the PK. I heard HZ series hitting 950-1000mhz.

one review
http://www.virtual-hideout.net/reviews/GSkill_PC2-6400/index2.shtml

Also some user reviews reports 900mhz on newegg(so a page search for mhz):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231087

Although most don't trust newegg user reviews and I don't for the most part. But I do look at some to see what o/c some have got and what boards they use to get a idea on compatibility issues.

According to ppl on XS they still don't clock high with D9.
