Yes i know 1:1 is to have speed of Fsb and mem the same, but i want to know the benefit of having a 1:1 than 5:4?
I thought I covered that 🙂.................
......and set the ratio to 5:4 or something other than 1:1, it's not running at DDR500 speeds but much lower.
You of course want your memory to run as fast as it can for the best performance. If you have slower memory like DDR400, you can sometimes get better performance at the 5:4 setting since it will allow you to O'clock your CPU higher without pushing your PC3200/DDR400 too far past 200mhz. Just depends on your memory.

When I get my board (IF I can EVER decide on which*) I'm certainly going to post every benchmark I can get my hands on, at all mobo & memory settings.

* Every time I think I decide on a mobo, I read something bad about it here at the forum!
