searched for useful reviews, bittech gave it a decent rating. the only caveat being unknown capacitor supplier TRec.

or should i just wait for another corsair hx520 sale?
 
there's a $40 sale on this one, so i'm trying to decide whether to bite or not. if it's any good, it's a good deal. if not, then i can wait for another corsair 520 $60 deal.

the main thing i'm looking for is modular cabling.
 
wow. Russian thanks. that would work too. the problem still remains though, nobody has done a full review of the modxstream series that i can find. not jonnyguru or xbitlabs.
 
yeah i read some of those reviews during my research. most are pretty superficial testing of voltages and pfc. only a few even opened up the casing and did an autopsy of the parts/components.

hardocp's review is the only in-depth examination with a cross load torture test at 45C. it failed at 45 but passed at 40, but they only did the retest because ocz restated the operating temp as 40C.

I went with the enermax infiniti at zzf instead. too good of a deal after reading jonnyguru.com's review of it thanks for the help though russian. 🙂
