OCZ Modstream 450w problem with floppy connection

I just setup a new system today using the OCZ Modstream 450w power supply. Here are my system details.

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum
Athlon 64 3700+ (San Diego)
2-512MB Corsair low latency twin paired dimms
74GB WD SATA 10,000 RPM
ATI Radeon X800 XL PCI-E
CD Drive
Floppy
OCZ Modsteam 450w

My problem is this: if I run the split-Y cable with the one connection for the floppy drive to the floppy, the system will not start at all. As if it were unplugged.

If I disconnect that Y-cable, it starts up fine.

I'm using the cable that came with the power supply and only one of the cables has the connection for the floppy. Is it just a bad cable you think? Or something else I might be unaware of?

Any help appreciated.
