OCZ memory

Does anyone have experience with OCZ memory? Newegg has 512 megs of it with a heat spreader for $150. Does this work well with overclocked systems?

I have no personal experience with OCZ, but I've hear bad things. If I remember correctly they were selling PC 2100 sticks as PC2700, or something like that.
IMO, you should just buy some real ram, crucial, corsair, kingmax, ,mushkin, ect...You get what you pay for

I believe it's the Overclockerz store that they're referring to.

woops! right. it should go the same for their products too

do a search for ocz and you'll find plenty of threads with people sending them back. it's crap, just like ocz store.

I don't the OCZ memory as a brand is highly regarded around here.

I had some 2100 DDR from them, hit 166 with ease at cas-2 with 1T command, the chips were micron, I'm pretty sure all their mem is micron.

I loved the OCZ store before they closed, they sent me two sets of rounded cables and two shims whe I only ordered one set of cables, not to mention that when I bought the cables they were cheaper than SVC's current pricing by almost $15.

I got a stick of 256mb 2700 and I'm happy with it, it's at 163 right now with a locked AthlonXP, the only complaint I have with the memory is that I had to send it back 2 times!!!! I ordered both from Newegg so I'm pretty positive it isn't Newegg. First 2 times arrived DOA. Basically, it seems the people who are lucky enough for it to work are happy with it, but I'd say you'd better be ready to take a BIG risk.

I saw some ppl and friends that the OCZ memory worked really well, had success with their oc, and they reached very high frequencies with their KT266A mobos and Athlon XPs and TBs. But I saw a some ppl that had nightmares, and just one of my friends had a problem. Normally the problem is related to the stability of the system.
