OCZ Loses Higher IOPS FW exclusivity?

Looks like OCZ Vertex 2 won't be the only game in town with a tweaked SF1200 FW. I think most of the SSD makers are getting legit MP firmware with the higher 15000k IOPS random writes.

Update 5/26/2010 — Corsair has extended the warranty coverage for all its SSDs to three years. The company is now free to use SandForce's mass-production "Max IOps" firmware, as well.

Interesting. Given the timestamp being over 2wks old I am surprised Anand hasn't had a follow-up on this himself.

Maybe Corsair paid the piper? So same capability as OCZ but at higher licensing fee, or some such?
