ocz - gold vs. platinum?

I see a whole lot of different types of ocz memory out there, platinum, gold, el.
Can anyone explain the real differences between them? Particularly platinum and gold.
I read a little blurb under one of their products that said that gold was optimized for 865/875 systems. I assume that platinum is the better type because it is usually priced higher, but if I've got an 865 based system would I be better off saving $30 and buying gold? (This is on a pc3500 2x256 bundle).

Gold - Made for a high FSB with higher timings and up to PC4000. Best run on Intel i867/i875 boards, bad on Nforce2. Top of the line.
EL - Made for low latency and up to PC3500. Best run on Nforce 2 boards. Mid-range.
Platinum - Made for super-low latencies up to PC3500. Best run on Nforce 2 boards. Top of the line.

Hope that helps, although a quick and easy trip to the OCZ website could have told you exactly the same information.

Thanks richdog. I have been looking at the ocz site but I haven't seen an explanation quite that clear. Any specific links?
