my pc specs are as follows:

am2 3800+ new orleans single core
abit kn9 570 sli
2gb ocz gold ddr800
evga 7600gt
seagate barracuda 300gb
ocz modstream 520w

ok when i built this system 2 summers ago i didn't know about the am2 compatibility issues with ocz ram, and also didnt know single core cpus could only do ddr667. i've been running the rig at ddr667 and on 5-5-5-15 timings. since its underclocked, would i be able to speed some extra speed from it?

With the new BIOSes out the compatability issues are pretty much gone. You may be able to run higher memory speeds, say DDR2-800. You may just need more voltage to do it. It's a trial and error process until you find what works.
