I got this response from OCZ today. Remember the next time you buy memory.

Unfortunately, very recently we have stopped producing DDR2 memory. Due to this change in production our ability to replace DDR2 memory has been limited to sending a comparable DDR3 kit as a replacement. We do realize this causes an inconvenience, and for that we do apologize.
