OCZ Cryo-Z next week?

Link anyone who has been following this knows that if OCZ can keep their promises about how much this will cost and how it will perform it's going to be one kickass product. However wtf exclusive to North America? 10 thumbs down:|:thumbsdown:

It's been talked about for 2 years now. It will not show as a mass-retail product. Even looking at the XS link it says, "we may have fewer than 10 units available..." and that it's being sold direct so you call etc. Seems to me that they basically are going to sell the models that they have been playing around with lol.

I haven't really kept up with cooling for a little while now around 6 months but it's been vapor for a loooong time.

Lol I just stumbled upon that XS thread too, wow....not exactly a 'product launch'.

unless its kept at its promised price... which i doubt... a custom builder could make you a better one for probably = or cheaper. Depends on how well you want it tuned.

the first batch in 10 or so. Tony from OCZ himself said there is a "huge amount more"

I didn't read the XS thread but if that quote is what Tony said ("fewer than 10 units"), then is that a joke or what? Not being rude or offensive, but it just sounds like a joke to me. Who's gonna get one? One for Paris Hilton, one for Osama Bin Laden, etc.? Hand tested - well more like hand made, I guess.

according to tony from OCZ the initial batch will be roughly ten, those will be the first ones out. They have a lot more assembled ones and parts to assemble even more, they just want to be able to get them out and see how people respond and distribut ethem when they have them ready to go. I think it does atleast show an effort against shipping and inferior or flawed product just for the sake of getting it out there to look good, at first at least.

Hello, we're talking 10 units ? How do you test how people respond to them, with only 10 people, and how do you know how they distribute ? All 10 samples would have to end up at respected reviewing sites for it to make any difference. And then we'd have to pray that more are actually coming. And if it's 110v only, it's kinda shitty anyways.

OCZ has a rep on these forums...maybe we should get it first hand instead of second hand.....
