ok OCZ was kind enough to replace my PC3700 el with pc 3700 el gold rev3 compared to my retailer CANADA COMPUTERS

nowi have couple of questions:

1.my asus board doesn't seem to be able to support 2.8v, it has the setting but system
hangs, is it an isolated problem?
2. how high could this memory go with 2.7v.. i have it running at 235Mhz right now and
super PI gives me a " non convergent in SQR05" error... prime stable

3. i;m not sure if it's memory related, but as soon as i set HT to 3x it will POST but instead of windows logo i either get black screen that hangs or black and white logo that runs up and down (kind of like the last test in pcmark04).. PS. HT2x works just fine
 
so far i had it running 250, on 260 i get prime failures
and wow, when i run 250 at 1:1 i get arround 6500Mb/s and when running 229 5:3 i get 6800Mb/s
 
Here is the problem I see....

Whatever the rating is for ram goes out the window the higher you OC...My Gskills will not run rated speed 275 1:1 at the clock speed that would be with my 9x default multi.....Howveer I drop that to 8x275 and now it is under 2.2ghz and run its just fine.....

The amd controller is likely at fault here....

The best thing I have found was to stop trying to get 500+ddr which you likely need cas 2.5,4,4,x to run stable or 550+ddr which you likely need cas 3, and finally 600ddr which you need cas 3 and possibly no way to run 1t on it....

That is all for cpu above 2.4-2.5ghz from what I can tell from my observations....

Just forget it...Best thing to do is keep ram as close to 400ddr to under 500ddr....Closer to 400ddr try to get cas 2,2,2,x work and you will have some of your highest scores....If you can get close to 500 like mine at 480, cas 2.5,3,3,x can equal and just slightly nose out the cas 2,2,2,x at around 400ddr...If you can get cas 2.5,2,2,x to work you will have the best of both world...I cant get the cas 2.5,2,2, to work....On Neo2 boards ppl speculate the board drops the vdimm down .1v to run 2 trcd setting so it is better to set it to high vdimm in the bios and manually set it with A64tweaker app....
