OCZ 2GB memory kit problems

Well, just got my 2GB kit from OCZ (Platinum Edition 2-3-2-5), and did some testing with my DFI Ultra-D board and guess what, one stick doesn't post.

1) I've updated the DFI bios to 623 (official).
2) Setup vdimm to 2.8 and timings to 3-3-3-8, 2T command rate, and even disabled Bank Interleave
3) Tested both sticks on the farthest Orange memory slot.
4) One stick posts while the other doesn't at bootup.

So do I need to RMA?

Try swapping the sticks around, if you still have the problem it's more then likely a M/B or bios problem (probably m/b) Try one stick at a time in the same slot both times, if one doesn't work, you'll know it's the memory for sure. Could be a mother board problem rather then a memory problem.

RMA just the bad stick. They are matched I don't think, but I could be wrong.

Yes, I did test one stick at a time, as it wouldn't post with both sticks in on first test to boot.

They are matched set from a dual channel kit.

OCZ is supposed to have good support. You can ask them what they think, but since you want a tested matched pair, my inclination would be to return BOTH sticks of RAM for a new set.
