it is supposedly a summer sale that started at amazon and got pricematched at other places. not sure how long it is going to last.

I play dcs a-10c and have track IR and the warthog stick and throttle. This makes me want to try it with vr. But I hear the text on the mfcd and dials and switches will be hard to leave.

I just put an order in for one of these bundles. I tried it out for the first time with Bullet Train last Friday. I was literally about to buy it, held off, and now this sale popped up. Woohoo!

Only problem is that I can't seem to find a reasonably priced video card. Just a couple weeks ago, it looks like GTX 1060s were about 200 bucks. Now they've shot up to 300 and up. Stupid crypto currency people are ruining it for gamers...

yah they do take some juice to run the games. i have a 1070 so should be ok, though i need to get a USB 3.0 pci-e card since you need 3 free ports.

re: GPU prices, i thought the AMD cards were being jacked up more by that than the nvidias. i ain't no cryptonerd though.

Would it matter if I used two usbs from the front of my tower? I have a 2.0 hub that all my flight gear goes into and only 2 free 3.0 usbs left.

I probably won't need both sensors though since I'll only be using it for the sim.

Yea, I don't know (or care to know) about the crypto coin.

Thankfully, I have plenty of USB 3 ports to spare. Kudos to you if you can find me a good deal on a 1060 or 1070.

I have 4 usb 3.0 ports left but two are in the front of the tower. I don't think it would matter of one sensor is plugged in the back and the other in the front. I think the headset plugs into the HDMI port on my gpu.

But yea you're right a card would be better because I'll have even more then.

Also at best buy, $399 with eve valkyre game. I'm debating to go get it today but the $100 Amazon gift card seems better.

I have prime but it does not look like it's eligible for prime shipping. Head set would get here July 19 and controllers July 25th. Wonder why the controllers have separate shipping of 5 days standard

I recommend Elite dangerous. If you download the launcher client you can play the training missions in VR for free, worth trying.

Ordered mine on Amazon so effectively I got it for $300. Can't wait to play DCS with it. Now just have to wait. Controllers will come separate on the 25th but I don't think they are required to set up the headset?

Yup I noticed that too. Glad I didn't order last night. I was initially going to go to Best buy after work and pick it up. Best buy does price match but I doubt they would include a $100 gift card.

Same here. The gift card is coming tomorrow via ups. The rift will be here the 19th and the controllers on the 25th.

I have issues with Amazon delivering to my complex so I hope I get everything. Two or three times things were not delivered at all although the tracking said delivered. One time they put delivered in the mail room. My complex doesn't have a mail room, all deliveries come to your door. My guess is some amazon drivers are too lazy to ask for the main building key and enter so who knows what happens.

But amazon customer service is excellent and they took care of it and refunded me right away. I also complained about the other two times and they said they took note.
