I am looking at a newer tablet and I am quite interested at 8-core, 2.0 ghz tablet you can get from MediaTek and Allwinner for under $150.

I am wondering about the performance of following chips:

MediaTek MT8392, ARMv7, 8 core, 2.0 ghz, Mali-450 MP4 @ 700 Mhz GPU
MediaTek MT6595, ARMv7, 2.1/2.2 ghz (4 core) + 1.7 ghz (4 core), PowerVR 6200 @ 600 Mhz GPU
MediaTek MT6595 Turbo, ARMv7, 2.4/2.5 ghz (4 core) + 1.7 ghz (4 core), PowerVR 6200 @ 600 Mhz GPU

AllWinner A83T, ARM Cortex-A7, 8 core, 2.0 ghz, PowerVR SGX544 @ 700 Mghz GPU

Can anyone point me to reviews and benchmark comparing these chipsets?

They are about equal. They all score between 25k and 30k on antutu.

It should be fairly obvious that the a53 powered mediateks will be faster than the a7 powered allwinner. Even the gpu is beefed up with the rogue 6200 vs a relatively old sgx544.

unless im misreading what you commented, a53 is arm v8, while a7 and a17 are v7.

Yes, and as per the original post all of these SoCs are ARMv7.

The MT6595 has 4x Cortex-A17 + 4x Cortex-A7 while the other two SoCs are 8x Cortex-A7. That should make it the obvious performance choice.
