ocsystem memory?

tstrike

Senior member
anyone ever bought an ocsystem ddr400 memory?
any good?
only for $144

if someone have anye xperince with them
what was the higest fsb hit?

planning to use on 2.66 p4
with new asus p4g8x gb mobo
which only uses 1:1 divider i think
so ddr400 should be more than enough i think since i am limited by my cpu fsb
oh btw
anyone know the max fsb a p4 2.66 can handle?

thanks

I'd only buy Kingston valueram -

KVR400X64C25/256 256MB 400MHz DDR PC3200 DIMM CL2.5 $112.00 BUY NOW
KVR400X64C25/512 512MB 400MHz DDR PC3200 DIMM CL2.5 $218.00 BUY NOW

I'd only buy Corsair!!! BUt this is all personal preference...

The fact on OCS memory (OCsystem) is they have a rather shady past...Do a search in the general hardware forum as there was a recent thread on it...

Most of their ram has always been oc'd lower rated memory...Ie. Their pc3200 stuff was overclocked pc2700 and overvolted...While corsair and some others would be running 2.5v OCS would have 2.7v...which basicall amounted to extreme oc'd pc2700. My kingmax pc2700 made it to 410mhz ddr with 2.7v...

I will have to go with duvie on this one. Corsair hand picks the best memory. Even though you are paying alot for the corsair name you know you are getting above average memory. I have only heard bad things about kingston's DDR lineup.

OH yeah NEVER buy any thing from a company that has the LETTERS OC in the title.

thanks

yea i'll go with the corsair xms 3200c2
selling at googlegear for $171 i think thats the cheapest out there

Are you going to get 1 stick because that is the price for one 512mb stick??? Make sure you get 2 of any you buy if you plan on using in the GB mobo...
